Light as a Feather Soaps started with my journey to live sustainably and significantly reduce the overwhelming amount of plastic waste we see around us. I couldn't help but notice all the wasted body wash bottles piling up and their complicated, hard-to-pronounce ingredient lists. This realization prompted me to seek out better, more eco-friendly options. My husband bought me a book on cold process soap making and, fueled by excitement, I jumped right into the creative process! Armed with just a few simple recipes, I began to unlock endless possibilities of vibrant scents, rich colors, and nourishing oils. My skin felt absolutely wonderful without the dryness that often comes from using store-bought bar soaps. I became so passionate about making soap that I shared my creations with friends and family, who loved what I crafted and eagerly wanted to buy some for themselves. This enthusiastic response led to the exciting adventure of creating a small website, which ultimately blossomed into this small business!
